- Lafayette Comedy presents 50 First Jokes! 50 comedians tell their first joke of 2025!Well, we will try for 50.50 First Jokes occurs in cities throughout America including New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Austin, Atlanta, and more.This is the only show in Louisiana in addition to the New Orleans show at Allways lounge sanctioned by the creators of 50 First Jokes.Doors open at 8:00 p.m. Show starts at 8:30 p.m.This show is pay-what-you-want, so get there early to secure a seat.You can donate here or at the door. However, you do not need to grab a ticket if you just want to watch the show. Just show up.Anyone is welcome to be part of the show, whether it's your first time or your thousandth on stage.Are you interested in being part of it? It is also the quickest way to ejection.* Do Not Interrupt the Comedian: The common excuse for this is “I’m helping the comedian” and “that’s what you’re supposed to do at Comedy Clubs!” Comedians are professionals, they do not need help. Exception: If a comedian directly engages you in conversation, it is ok to respond. Some of the best comedy happens this way and can make for a memorable experience. Be ready to let it go when the bit is over.I don’t recognize the comic’s name, will the show be funny?Yes, all of our acts are professional nationally touring comedians. There are so many talented comedians today; it is impossible for all of them to become household names. That being said, comedy is subjective and we recommend you research the comedian you are coming to see.Unless otherwise stated, please consider all of our shows as “adult subject matter.”No refunds unless the show is canceled or rescheduled.

(Actually he’s lost track.) he has opened for acts ranging from Ray Charles to Jeff Dunham. His first special can be seen on Amazon Prime among other platforms. 74 years and he’s still getting after it!Most of America knows 72-year old Andy Huggins from his standout appearance on America’s Got Talent in 2018. We all gasped a little when Howie Mandell recognized him from their days starting out together at The Comedy Store in Los Angeles. All of Houston comedy looked on as one of their own took center stage on one of the nation’s largest talent competitions.He was, along with Bill Hicks, Ron Shock and others, one of the original Texas Outlaw Comics, a group of Houston-based comedians who famously convened at Houston’s Comedy Workshop in the 1980s. Along with Huggins, the cadre included names like Ron Shock, Jimmy Pineapple, Sam Kinison and Bill Hicks.
